Peace and Serenity
We've always thought that there wasn't a lot of sense in leaving the city and its freeways just to join a large crowd. Most lodges accommodate 25-40 guests, and sometimes even more. This seemed to us far from ideal and certainly not the best way to enjoy the majestic wilderness of Knight Inlet.
We built our lodge to provide a comfortable, intimate and relaxing atmosphere - a lodge that is yours. We also have added a small beach cabin with ensuite and a remarkable view. We've kept the maximum mumber of guests to ten at our lodge. Our guests become, not only our wildlife companions but our friends as well.
Grizzly Bear Lodge And Safari 2010 News Report: Our river valley grizzly bear count of individual bears remained in the high 40's this past season. On one trip we saw 24 different bears although our average was closer to 7 or 8 per trip. The Orcas were a week late but then were often spectacular as were the humpback and dolphins. We have the photos to show you. We're really looking forward to 2010 - to see more grizzlies as they build up for the winter fishing for salmon on our wild river and to see lots of whales again too. Our whales are the healthiest in the western Pacific.
