Grizzly Bear Watching We've always thought that there wasn't a lot of sense in leaving the city and its freeways just to join a large crowd. Most lodges accommodate 25-40 guests, and sometimes even more. We keep the maximum number of guests to 8 at our lodgeThis seemed to us far from ideal and certainly not the best way to enjoy the majestic wilderness of Knight Inlet.

We built our lodge to provide a comfortable, intimate and relaxing atmosphere - a lodge that is yours. We also have added a small beach cabin with ensuite and a remarkable view. We've kept the maximum mumber of guests to ten at our lodge. Our guests become, not only our wildlife companions but our friends as well.

Grizzly Bear Lodge And Safari 2011 News Report: 2011 year has been one of the best for grizzly bear tours and whale watching. We averaged six grizzly bears per visit plus a mother grizzly with two cubs who were daily visitors. A heavy rain pushed the salmon up stream earlier this year drawing the bears to the river below our viewing stands. We had a record year for viewing orca (killer whales), humpback and dolphins. There were a few days when we saw more than 3 different pods of orca meeting and playing in the Johnstone Strait. We are looking forward to more renovations this winter and a early start to the 2012 season.
