We offer you a small comfortable lodge or cottage with friendly people to look after you. Choose your trip from June through mid October.

Location

Minstrel Island, where our lodge is located, is a small island on the edge of Knight Inlet. Not only does it have a colourful history but it is located perfectly for wildlife viewing - in the middle between the Grizzly river, our wild ATV river and Johnstone Straits where the whales reside.

Boats

We use safe 17 ft speedboats with 2 motors, VHF radio and retactable cover to get out of the rain. We also use a larger 19 ft speedboat for groups of 3 or 4. We supply you with sufficient equipment with any package that you choose. Boots, Suits, Rain Gear, Cooler Boxes are available at our lodge when needed.

There's just one thing, Don't forget your camera! A camera with a zoom lens and LOTS of film will give you tons of memories!

Grizzly Bear Lodge And Safari 2010 News Report: Our river valley grizzly bear count of individual bears remained in the high 40's this past season. On one trip we saw 24 different bears although our average was closer to 7 or 8 per trip. The Orcas were a week late but then were often spectacular as were the humpback and dolphins. We have the photos to show you. We're really looking forward to 2010 - to see more grizzlies as they build up for the winter fishing for salmon on our wild river and to see lots of whales again too. Our whales are the healthiest in the western Pacific.
